    Most Vacaville school zones now have a 15 MPH speed limit when children are present. At 15 MPH, drivers have more time to react and stop, helping protect our students, crossing guards, and families.

    Daylighting to Save Lives (AB 413)

    Assembly Bill (AB) 413 was signed into law on October 10, 2023, with a start date of January 1, 2025 (local jurisdiction has oversight). AB 413 prohibits the stopping, standing, or parking of a vehicle within 20 feet of the vehicle approach side of any unmarked or marked crosswalk or 15 feet of any crosswalk where a curb extension is present.
