    Your commendations affirm the positive work we do in the community. If you would like to recognize a member of the Vacaville Police Department for outstanding service, professionalism, or positive impact in the community. A commendation may be made verbally or in writing at any time of the day or night to any police supervisory personnel. An explanation of the situation in person, by telephone, or by mail is helpful to full understand the situation.
