Registration for the 2025-2026 School Year opens May 5, 2025. School begins on September 2 for 3-year old classes and September 3 for the 4-year old classes.

Initial registration must be made In-person at one of our Community Centers:

• Three Oaks Community Center: 8:00 AM to 7:00 PM Monday-Thursday / 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Friday
• Ulatis Community Center: 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday-Friday
• McBride Community Center: 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM Monday-Thursday / 8:30 AM to 12:30 PM Friday

• Initial registration must be made in person at one of our Community Centers.
• Children must be the age required on or before September 1, 2024.

• Preschool for Three Year Olds: Children must be 3 on or before September 1, 2024.
• Preschool for Four Year Olds: Children must be 4 on or before September 1, 2024.

• Children must be completely potty trained, no pullups.
• Bring no foods with peanuts. We are Peanut/Tree Nut Free.

Fees Due at Initial Registration:  

• $100 non-refundable annual registration fee
• $50 supply fee
• Non-refundable first month's tuition payment:
  • $293 for 3 Year Olds T/TH
  • $398 for 4 Year Olds M/W/F

This is a continuous school year program. All sessions are monthly, and tuition is calculated at the same monthly cost from Sept to May based on the full number of days of attendance and then averaged. The ONLY time we pro-rate a payment would be for a new student beginning after the first of the month. No other pro-rations are provided for missed days. Children must register continually each month to reserve their spot in class. No new students will be added after December 31.

Late Fees: Tuition installments are due by the 20th of each month. A $25 late fee will be charged after the due date. Late fees are strictly enforced.  

New Students: No new students will be added to the current school year after the month of February.

City of Vacaville’s Preschool understands a toddler’s need for autonomy, balanced with a secure routine. Our toddler classes provide a nurturing space in which socialization and cognitive skills, motor skills, independence, and language development are learned through imaginative play in a safe environment. 

Busy Bees, Monday (parent participation):

• Ages 10 months – 36 months
• Children do not need to be potty trained
• Parents/guardians are required to participate
• Birth certificate and shot record are not required

Little Learners, Tues/Thurs or Wed (drop off):

• Ages 18 months – 36 months
• Children do not need to be potty trained
• Parents are not required to participate
• Birth certificate and shot record are not required

City of Vacaville’s Preschool program provides children in this age group with learning activities that are perfect for their developmental stage. In addition to gross motor activities in a safe environment, children participate in varied language experiences through games, nursery rhymes, poems, finger plays, and conversation. It is at this stage that the children concentrate on independence and self-help skills.

The teaching staff introduces preschool children to math, science, language, and art through weekly themes and projects. Self-expression is also encouraged through music and art activities. We provide developmentally appropriate instruction offering our children challenges that foster self-esteem and self-awareness. The learning environment is culturally diverse, and children develop a positive self-image and respect for others.
