Trower Park Community Art Project "Culture Meets Nature"
This unique project seeks to transform the newly renovated Trower Park into a vibrant, inclusive space that reflects a theme of “Culture Meets Nature”, showcasing diverse voices, cultural richness, and the natural beauty of the area.
Following a community engagement process, including two public workshops at Edwin Markham Elementary, two of the three projects moved forward in the public art approval process. Check out the approved designs linked below:
The third project, an Alebrije sculpture, is the final stages of the design phase. This project is a collaboration with Edwin Markham Elementary students. Artist Tom Arie Donch led the Markham Alebrije Club in the creation of models that lead to the design that is currently in the public art approval process.
