Lagoon Valley Park Rules

Only City Vehicles on park grounds
Park Hours: ½ hour after sunrise and no later than ½ hour after sun set
Leash laws enforced
Smoking prohibited except in designated areas

These rules are strictly enforced for your safety and enjoyment of these facilities.

Lagoon Valley Park Trail Etiquette

On the paths and trails of our beautiful park, you will meet walkers, joggers, hikers, dogs, bike riders, horseback riders, and grazing cattle as well as native animals. Observing the rules will help to keep us all safe and happy. Communicate and co-operate with your fellow trail users, and enjoy your time in the park!

All Trail Users:

Consult the trail map to choose your route. Some trails are very steep and rocky, and not all trails/ bridges are suitable for horses and/or bicycles. Dogs are required to be on a leash at all times (except in the fenced dog park). Clean up after your dog. Shut trail gates behind you to prevent cows from escaping. Don't approach the cows and do not feed any wildlife!

Bicyclists:

Reduce speed and announce your presence to other trail users when passing, and on blind curves or rises. Use particular caution when passing children and seniors. Motorcycles and other motorized vehicles are not allowed off the paved roadways. Class I e-bikes are allowed on the trails

Horseback Riders:

Park trailers only in the designated gravel area by the restrooms. A water faucet for filling buckets is available at the restroom building. Clean up and haul manure away from core areas. Avoid areas with concentrations of other users: picnic areas, dog park, archery range. Be aware of other park activities: disc golf, remote-controlled aircraft and other vehicles, kite flying, cattle, etc. Make sure your horse can tolerate this exciting environment! On narrow trails, pull over to allow joggers and bikers to pass when it is safe to do so.
