Homeless Programs
At the City of Vacaville, we are committed to addressing homelessness through compassion, coordination, and long-term solutions. Our goal is to ensure that every Vacaville resident has access to safe, stable housing and the supportive services needed to thrive.
Through our Homeless Action Plan, the City is focusing on practical, community-driven solutions that prevent homelessness, connect people to critical resources, and create pathways to permanent housing. We are strengthening partnerships with local and regional agencies, faith-based organizations, and service providers to deliver a coordinated system of care that meets people where they are — from outreach and engagement to housing placement and stability support.
Our approach emphasizes:
- Prevention and Diversion – Keeping individuals and families housed through early intervention and problem-solving support.
- Outreach and Connection – Expanding coordinated outreach and case management to link people with services, shelter, and housing options.
- Supportive and Permanent Housing – Increasing access to affordable and supportive housing opportunities within the community.
- Collaboration and Accountability – Strengthening partnerships across City departments, the County, and community organizations to align resources and track outcomes.
Together, these efforts move Vacaville closer to our vision of a community where homelessness is rare, brief, and non-recurring.
