How ARPA Funds Supported Our Community

The City of Vacaville allocated American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funds to support a variety of community-based organizations that played a vital role in the city’s COVID-19 recovery and long-term resilience.

    These funds were used to:

    • Expand access to youth enrichment programs, including sports, arts, and educational activities
    • Support veterans and military service organizations with outreach, mental health resources, and programming
    • Strengthen nonprofit services that provided shelter, case management, and essential assistance to vulnerable residents
    • Promote local tourism, events, and cultural activities to stimulate economic recovery
    • Enhance recreational programs and facilities that contribute to community well-being and engagement

These investments helped local organizations recover from the impacts of the pandemic and continue offering important programs—like youth sports and arts, support for veterans, community events, and tourism efforts—that make Vacaville a stronger, healthier, and more connected place to live. This use of ARPA funding aligned with the goals outlined in the City’s Strategic Plan, supporting community well-being, economic vitality, and enhanced quality of life for all residents.
