Complaints about vehicles parked in the street can be called into Vehicle Abatement at (707) 449-5283.
What are some common code complaints?
Trash and debris on private property.
Vehicles parked on lawns/unimproved surfaces on private property.
Trash cans put out too early or left out past your pick up day and cans blocking the sidewalk.
Overgrown weeds on private property.
What information do I need when submitting or calling about a complaint?
The official complaint and the exact address of the problem. Your name and phone number may be included but you may also remain anonymous if you choose.

Know Your Zone is a system utilized to allow communities and first responders to more effectively plan, communicate, and execute geographic based emergency information. The Know Your Zone web-based platform is meant for the community to find their zone and to view emergency information.
Residents and businesses can look up their address using the search bar. The tool is used countywide, including the County unincorporated areas and all cities.

Visit the Know Your Zone web-based tool and type in your address in the search bar. Write the zone name down, memorize it, and post it in a high traffic location, like on your refrigerator.

This system is consistent across Solano County and helps first responders to plan and execute evacuations. How do I know if a vendor is permitted?
All vendors must have:
A City of Vacaville Business License, and
If selling food or drinks, a Solano County Environmental Health Permit.
Vendors should have their license and permit visible. If they cannot produce them upon request, they may not be in compliance.
I'm a vendor, how can I get into compliance?

Who do I contact if I think food is unsafe?
Concerns about food handling, sanitation, or food safety should be directed to Solano County Environmental Health at (707) 784-6765, by emailing Solano County Environmental Health, or completing the online complaint form.
Why can't the City just shut down unlicensed vendors?
California law limits the authority of local jurisdictions to immediately remove vendors from public spaces if they hold the necessary state or local permits. This is why the City is drafting a local ordinance, in partnership with other Solano County cities, to establish stronger enforcement tools.
