The Community Development Department is responsible for helping the community with the development review process. Depending on the application type or intensity, project approval may be required by either the Director of Community Development, the Planning Commission, or the City Council.
Prior to submitting a formal development application, please contact the Planning Division at (707) 449-5140 to confirm the application review process and submittal requirements.
Tree Removal Permits are required when removing a tree with a trunk circumference of 31 inches or more when measured at 4' 6" above ground level. Visit the Trees webpage to learn more.
