The Fields at Alamo Creek

The Fields at Alamo Creek proposal includes a tentative subdivision map for the development of up to 241 detached and attached single-family residential units, a 0.6-acre private park, and 7.2 acres of open space agricultural buffer on a 33.6-acre parcel of land located immediately adjacent to the eastern boundary of the Farm at Alamo Creek Specific Plan.

The project seeks to amend the Farm at Alamo Creek Specific Plan to incorporate the project within the Specific Plan boundary. The project site is located within unincorporated Solano County immediately adjacent to the eastern City limits bordered by Hawkins Road to the north, the adopted Farm at Alamo Creek Specific Plan to the west and to the south, and PG&E overhead transmission lines and undeveloped agricultural lands to the east. Scheduled Public Hearing

The Community Development Department has published a public notice announcing that the Vacaville Planning Commission will be holding a public hearing on August 19, 2025, to consider the Fields at Alamo Creek project. The Planning Commission will make a recommendation on whether the City Council should approve the project.

Environmental Information

The City of Vacaville is the lead agency and has prepared a Supplemental Environmental Impact Report (SEIR) for the Fields at Alamo Creek. The environmental analysis is an SEIR to the Farm at Alamo Creek Specific Plan FEIR, which is a larger development project that was previously approved in 2019 on the adjoining site to the west. The Fields relies on future improvements from the Farm at Alamo Creek.

The Fields at Alamo Creek Draft Supplemental Environmental Impact Report (SEIR) was made available for public review and comment during a 45-day period from February 14, 2024 through April 1, 2024; the comment period has closed. Scoping Meeting

On Thursday, April 13, 2023, City staff hosted a virtual Scoping Meeting to gather input from the public and agencies on specific topics that may need to be addressed in the environmental analysis. The scoping process is designed to enable the City to determine the scope and content of the SEIR, identify the range of actions, and identify potentially significant environmental effects, alternatives, and mitigation measures to be analyzed.
