    Inspection requests should be submitted no later than 3:00 PM on the business day prior to the desired inspection date. Inspection requests submitted before 3:00 PM will be scheduled for the first available business day unless otherwise specified. We strive to complete the requested inspections within two business days of the requested day; however, inspection lead times may be longer during peak construction periods. We cannot always guarantee a specific time frame for your inspection. We do our best to accommodate morning (AM) or afternoon (PM) requests. Inspectors will prioritize inspection routes to accommodate all requests submitted for the day. Please note no inspections will be completed after 3:30 pm. Inspection cancellations can be made until 6 AM the day of the inspection.

    The building permit, approved plans, and supporting documentation shall be made available to the inspector on site. No inspections will be conducted without these documents.

    Re-inspection fees may be applied for the following reasons:

    • The project is not ready, the inspector cannot gain entry, and/or the work is incomplete.
    • The permit card and approved plans are not available to the inspector onsite.
    • Inspections canceled after 6:00 AM the day of the inspection

    If your project requires a Preconstruction Meeting, please contact our main line to speak to a Building Division representative to initiate the process and schedule a meeting. The contractor will need to provide e-mail contact information for all contractors and subcontractors who will be assigned to the project. All Preconstruction meetings will be held virtually. Please review all approval stamps to determine if this is a project requirement.

    Please note that all required inspections, including those conducted by other departments or outside agencies, must be completed before a final building inspection can be scheduled.
