Welcome to the Community Development Building Permit Fee Estimator!
The Fee Estimator tool is built into our existing e-TRAKiT permitting system as a new permit type and calculates an estimate of permit fees for the following types of projects within the City of Vacaville:
- Residential New Single-Family Dwelling
- Accessory Dwelling Unit
- Junior Accessory Dwelling Unit
- New Multi-Family Dwelling
- New Commercial Structure
These fees are to be used as estimates only and are not intended to determine actual fees for a project. Actual project fees will be determined by Building Division staff at the time of permit approval. Fees are subject to change, and additional fees may apply due to the location of the project. To access the Fee Estimator please follow the instructions below:
- Log into our public portal
- Select “Apply / New Permit”
- Select “I agree” and “Continue” for the disclaimer
- In the Permit Type drop down list scroll to the bottom and select any of the below as the permit type:
- Fee Estimate Residential New SFD
- Fee Estimate ADU
- Fee Estimate JADU
- Fee Estimate Multi-Family New
- Fee Estimate Commercial New
- Complete all fields
- Choose a project location
- Review your contact information
- Review summary of the estimate and select “Submit”
- Once submitted, you will:
- Be able to click on the EST number and open the estimate online
- Receive an email with the basic information
- Be able to print an estimate summary from the Permit Screen when you click on the EST number
