2026 General Election Information
City of Vacaville General Municipal Elections are held in November during even-numbered years. The City Council is composed of six Councilmembers who are elected by district and a directly elected Mayor. All Councilmembers and the Mayor serve staggered terms of four years. Currently, the Mayor and Councilmembers receive a salary of $829 per month.
The general municipal election will be held on Tuesday, November 3, 2026. Elective offices open for the November 2026 election are Districts 2, 4, 6 and Mayor. Additional information about the General Municipal Election, including candidate and voter assistance information will be posted to the website as it becomes available throughout the election season.
