VACAVILLE, Calif. – The City of Vacaville has been notified that the labor dispute between the City’s contracted transit operator, Transdev, and its bus drivers has been resolved. There has been no disruption to Vacaville City Coach service, and no service interruption is anticipated.

The resolution comes at an important time for the community, as local schools begin the new school year tomorrow, Thursday, August 13. Students, families, commuters, and other riders can continue to rely on Vacaville City Coach for their regular transportation needs.

The labor matter was between the City’s contracted transit operator and its employees. While the City was not a party to the negotiations, City staff closely monitored the situation and worked with the operator to prepare for potential impacts to riders.

“We are pleased the parties were able to reach a resolution and, most importantly, that our community experienced no interruption in transit service,” said Brian Oxley, Public Works Director. “With school starting tomorrow, we know reliable transportation is especially important for students and families, and we appreciate everyone who worked to resolve this matter.”

Vacaville City Coach will continue operating its regular routes and schedules.
