VACAVILLE, Calif. – The City of Vacaville is proud to announce the return of Vaca-Con, this Saturday, April 11, and Sunday, April 12, 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM, rain or shine. The event will take place at the Ulatis Cultural Center, 1000 Ulatis Drive.

Vaca-Con is a family-friendly favorite, perfect for lovers of science fiction, anime, comics, television, movies, pop culture, and more. The event features:

• An artist alley
• Exhibitor hall
• Panels and guest speakers
• A cosplay contest
• Kids’ activities
• Table-top and video gaming stations
• Car show
• A maid café
• Live wrestling
• Live tattooing
• And more!

This year features a group of celebrity guests who are sure to excite fans! Saturday features Wayne’s World actress, Tia Carrere, Superbad actor, Christopher Mintz-Plasse, and Road Trip actor, DJ Qualls.

On Sunday, award-winning cosplayers: PepperJaq, Cosbunny Cosplay, Astro, Roger Presa, and Austin Legay will be in the house! Cosplay Contest first-place winners will receive a $200 cash prize courtesy of Anchor Tattoo. Cosplay categories include three divisions: adult (14+), kids under 14, and group. In addition to the cash prize, the first-place winner in the adult category will receive a 3D printer, thanks to Hero Ready Creative Lab.

Tickets are available online or at City of Vacaville community centers. Pre-sale 1-day admission is $20, pre-sale 2-day is $35, tickets at the door (day of event) are $25 for 1-day or $40 for 2-days, and children 5 and under are FREE. Teens aged 6 to 17 will receive a $5 discount.
